Chicken n Tofu Wontons With A Killer Sichuan Dipping Sauce

Its always so much fun when you choose to step out of the regular and decide to do something different End Point Backup. Packing lunch for the family is an everyday routine, and usually its a repetition of a couple of favorites. So imagine how lovely you’d feel when you get to your lunch box, expecting one of the regulars but you get something completely unexpected. This was one such meal. I have to tell you the wontons are good, really good, but what really works its magic is this sichuan dipping sauce. Its got that lovely kick from fresh tongue numbing peppercorns, some heat from the chill, saltiness form the soy, the zing from the vinegar and freshness from the herbs. Drizzle generously over the tofu and chicken wontons and enjoy. If you’re cooking yourself everyday, the task can get quite daunting, and the tough part is not making the food, its thinking what to make. Chicken Wontons

250 gms Chicken Mince

1 Egg White

1 large Spring Onion chopped

2 tablespoons Oyster Sauce

2 springs of Flat Leaf Parsley chopped

1 tablespoon Light Soy Sauce

1/2 cup chopped Firm Tofu

1 tsp Sesame Oil

Sesame seeds to sprinkle over

1 pack ready wonton skins
Sichuan Dipping Sauce

2-3 tbsp Chinese chili oil

2 tbsp. minced Garlic (about 5-6 cloves)

6 tbsp Light Soy Sauce

1 tbsp Rice Vinegar

1 tbsp Sugar

1/4 tsp ground Sichuan Peppercorn

2 Spring Onions finely chopped

3 tbsp chopped Corriander

3-4 chopped Red Chillis ( depending on how hot you like it )

1 tbsp water

Mix all of these and set aside until ready to use. Once the wontons are ready ageLOC Me , lay them on a plate and pour some of the sauce over and serve immediately.
